Our next meeting is Wednesday, October 21 at the Nanaimo Curling Club, 106 Wall Street. Doors open at 1:00 and 6:00 pm,
the meeting starts at 1:30 and 6:30. Our guest will be Sandra Sandvik from Mayne Island, who will be presenting a trunk show of her work. Sandra is also leading a Botanical Beauty workshop on October 24 for members. More information in the October newsletter.
At our meeting, you can renew your membership, and register for this year's workshops. Please remember your library books, coffee cup, change for raffle tickets, donation quilts, Show and Share, Country Grocer receipts, and any items for the free table. Members whose last names start with the letters C and D, it’s your turn to bring goodies to the meeting for our coffee / tea break.
As a nonprofit society, we can earn 1% on every $1000 in tapes that we save, in the form of gift cards that do not expire (This will help us buy supplies for our next Quilt Show).
The tapes can be from any Country Grocer location, for anything in the store, and for any amount. Please fold (don’t roll) the tapes and place in an envelope to prevent fading. There will be a box available at our meetings to drop off your tapes.
